Scientific names must be in italics with the first letter of the genus capitalized and the species not capitalized.

Homo sapiens (in italics)
Felis concolor (in italics)
etc

I don't know. i would not thing so considering that normally only titles of books, tv shows, and magazines are underlined and in italics.

They don't HAVE to be but just in case I would put them in italics.
