Here is my totally unsupported reason.

Many studios feel that they need to put a black actor in the film, but there is nothing that says he has to last the entire film.

At the first real chance, TBDF!

(The Brother dies first.)

Racist? There is enough evidence to support this bizarre conjecture.

most victims and villains die in horror movies but races other then white (black Asian etc.) seem to die more only because there is usually less of them in a given movie, but sometimes the black guy is the only guy that lives like the remake of house on housed hill if im not mistaken the black guy and 1 chick r the only ones to live through that movie

i don't know but they have always have the best lines right before they die - they should keep them around a bit longer just for the one-liners. by the way, Deep Blue Sea, the black guy (LL Cool J) lives - what a twist - except Samuel L. Jackson dies like in the first 25 minutes. hehe

black people play leading roles much less often than white people. in horror movies, if anyone survives, it's the lead. there is your answer.
