Hi, people always mock and condemn what they do not, or do not want to understand, being gay is going through the same right of passage as being a women, if you look back on time women were always second class citizens, same as gay people are now, it will not be long before all people are accepted for who they are inside not who they sleep with

....because it's an unnatural act.
The same sex was not designed to bonk with same sex.
I think that the modern society you talk of is very liberal and becoming even more so, the 'condemnation' you mention comes from the smaller wedges of society.
It can be corrected.
It most definitely is a choice.
Please remember that choices are not always active, some are passive.
People on the whole never choose the gay lifestyle lightly. Many take years deliberating, rationalizing and compromising.
I've yet to meet a real, deep down, joyful gay person.
There always is a starting point somewhere. More often one has to look quite far back even to 'the sins of the fathers'. Other-times the start it is as brutal as a rape or as soft as a seducers caress.
Never underestimate the power behind the power of dick.

You know, that's such a good question and well put.
I don't know why people would be so angry and focused on homosexuality the way they are, but I'm guessing it's fear. Fear that if being gay ISN'T voluntary, then it could happen to them, their son, their brother, etc.
But that still doesn't explain why they think it's so bad in the first place. not all societies in every age have had this stigma attached to homosexuality. I'm sure you know that in Ancient rome homosexual relationships were de rigeur among men, married or not. I guess in the USA sex is scary to a lot of people, and the kind of sex they don't relate to is especially scary, but I'm not sure why.
I hope you don't go through too much bad stuff. Sorry I can't answer more completely.

I think that alot of people just NEED to hate.
They hate gays, women, illegal immigrants.......everyone is trying to steal their jobs, take their women, use up their hard earned taxes...~Waa! Waa! Waa!~.. You know if they are kicking homosexuals today they will certainly focus on some other category tomorrow!!
There are alot of miserable people out there that would rather point the finger outside their windows, than clean house inside their hearts.

I don't care. Anyone who wants to treat a fellow citizen badly because of whom they choose to love is someone I have no interest in knowing as a person.
Anyone who wants to interfere in the relationship of two consenting adults is a control freak and I have no interest in knowing them as a person.

I believe on a personal level that people who protest the loudest are unsure of their own sexuality.

you are defiantly not off your rocker!!!!!!!! i believe that people are born homosexual just as i was born heterosexual. it is not a choice any more than the color of your skin, hair or eyes it is how god made you. we are all made in his image and loved just as we are.
