Who cares? It is enough that he was mentally ill and he is legally dead.
There are basically 2 lessons to be learned. 1) Prohibiting firearms is NOT a good idea, because the people that obey the law become defenseless at the hands of those who do NOT obey the law.
2) When people are identified as being a danger to themselves and others, it needs to be taken seriously and pursued with vigor and followed up on.

No. When used as a legal term, "insane" has a specific meaning. It isn't just a synonym for crazy. It means a person who has committed a crime but is not held legally accountable because they're so mentally damaged they didn't understand what they were doing.
Cho fully understood what he was doing. He was a psychopath, which isn't the same as legally insane.
