ABSOLUTELY !
no questions asked to me, hands down. I totally agree. And I feel the next comissioner should wipe out his stats as though he never played ( inlding Palmeiro, Canseco, sosa?, McGwire and several others).

We live in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty. Barry Bonds hasnt been convicted of using steroids, and until then he is innocent. You cant ban a player from baseball and the Hall of Fame for life without being convicted of rule breaking, the same way you cant send someone to jail without convicting them of a crime.

No he shouldn't. All this crap is about has to do with a modern day lynching. When Mark McGwire was slamming homers nobody said anything. For some odd reason this steroid thing only has something to do with Barry Bonds. I wish most of u were like this about the way president bush is destroying this country driving up your tax dollars, no wage increases with the rising cost of living, sacrificing your kin for his oil and military contracts. Then u can come back and talk about Barry. Open your eyes around u there are more important things than a freaking materialistic homerun record.

Banned for life? Not unless he is found to be in violation of the rules such that he runs afoul of the only two instances such a harsh sanction is imposed -- gambling or complicity with gambling on one's own team games, or a fourth violation for steroid usage.
The Hall will have to deal with his candidacy in due time, and currently has no restrictions on eligibility except the one about not being on MLB's permanently ineligible list.
My opinion, Bonds earned his Hall plaque when he stepped on the field on Opening Day of his tenth season.

I think he should be banned for life, but think about it. Sure, he might have used steroids, but you still have to be able to make contact, and that's hard. He always had a pretty good average. However, banned from the hall of fame? No.

For What?
hes never been convicted of or caught with anything
Let me ask this how exactly is he tearing the cover off the ball this year?
Do you really think that he has the ball sack to do illegal drugs right now?
In 20 years all you people that bad mouthing him are going to tell your children or grandchildren how awesome it was to watch this guy play

The man did not use steroids early on in his career period regardless of how much we all dislike the fact he's about to break Aaron's record.
He used that cream a total of 2 to 3 years max. Mark McGwire used damn near is entire career and you people whine about him not being in.
How two-faced is that?

innocent until proven guilty.
If he is not proven guilty and passes all of the tests then he is a great hitter.
If he fails 1 test and commits purjury then ban his *** and dont let him in the hall of fame

Just as soon as he fails a drug test. You can't ban someone based on circumstantial evidence, no matter how guilty you think he is.
