Here's what David Stern said about Warriors, "They were never supposed to," said Stern. "The four out of seven was supposed to make sure that the better team won."

Of course... The mavs couldn't find a way to beat the warriors since last season. Winning against every other team does not make you a better team than the one who consistently beats you.
This is what makes this sport entertaining.

the infantrymen ought to stop the Mavs even as they get warm. The Mavs consistently shrink back in video games on a run. Then the different crew can not come back into the game. i quite dont imagine they Warriors can win even with the truth that. The Mavs are a lot more effective. yet some thing can ensue.

The Warriors have always had the Mavs number dating back to last year. I think it's kinda dissapointing that the better team didn't win. Think about it, the Warriors finished 8th, and that implies they have difficulty beating the other better teams. Basically, Phoenix, Spurs, Rockets, and Utah are better teams compared to the Warriors. I'll take this statement back if the Warriors get to the finals, but i really doubt it.

The Mavs are the better team but the Warriors had their number all season. Mavs had no confidence going into that series and that is why they lost. If you think your going to lose then might as well not even play.

Warriors beat the Mavs, 4 out of 6 games....It is obvious that they were better than the Dallas in this series,And its not like they bearly beat Dallas, two of the wins were dominant...............Maybe Mavs are a better team against everybody else in the league, but the best team in that series, won...And that was GSW

Well, I'm a Mavs fan, but I've gotta ask:

Did the better team SHOW UP during the Mavs-Warriors series? It just seems so unbelievable that Dallas had such
an incredible season this year, and then watching them implode like that to a gang of thugs.....I don't know.

I guess it will all be sorted out in the off-season.

No matter how good you are...there's always at least one team that just has your #. Alot of times it has to do with match-ups. Dallas was the deeper, more experienced team but Golden State dictated the tempo and that created huge match-up problems for Dallas. There was also the fact that Dallas basically gave a game away to Golden State near the end of the season by benching thier key players, reasoning that they liked thier chances best against Golden State. Talk about giving your opponent some bulletin board material!

i think the most athletic team won the series. The warriors beat the mavs with speed, they dont use a center because Don Nelson doesnt like playing with one, which helps them get down the floor faster.

How are the Mavs better now? They should have an award for the Best regular season like they do in Hockey....Congrats to the Mavs for a very good season though

The NBA playoffs are designed so the best team wins every year. If the Mavs couldn't win 4 out of 7 games they are not the best. Win or go home.
