i just did the 4 wheel disc brakes and rotors on my intrepid last weekend. everything went good. well yesterday i notices the front drivers side brake is making a noise like metal on metal. it does it off and on like the rotor is warped and its only contacting a certian spot every revolution. i know the rotor isnt warped, and the pads are brand new. what could it be? i put lube between the caliper and pads when i did it also.

im going to take off the drivers side wheel but i dont know what to look for

i jacked it up, rotated the wheel, and it seems the caliper is too tight. like i need to grease up the slider pins. what kind of grease do i need? im gonna go ahead and grease all 4 calipers (4 wheel disc brakes) i saw that step in the manual but i didnt have any grease besides the lube for the pads and i didnt want to use that. some were greased good and moved freely, but others were dry and sticky

Make sure the splash shield isn't bent and hitting the rotor (unlikely). Try removing the caliper and lubricating the slider pins with synthetic grease to make the caliper release easier.

Could be a number of things. Put a jack stand under the drivers side and spin the wheel until you get the noise, then take off the tire to see what it is. Whatever it is, correct it.

Give em a few miles to break in, sounds like a pad may be touching a rotor.....

did u torque your lug nuts? if if you didnt and cant find anything hitting the rotor, then make sure you do that. especially with disc brakes.
