My car's a 2001 Hyundai with under 50,000 miles. I recently had the fuel filter replaced and the battery is only 1 yr old. It started and i got halfway down my street and it just died. I started it up again and as soon as i put it into drive it died again. I waited 10 minutes and it ran just fine. I haven't had any problems since then.

I would be willing to bet that when the fuel filter was changed some air got into the fuel system and it died and after you restarted it then the air was purged from the system and she runs fine now!

If you mean it died when you drove it off after the fuel filter replacement, that was just some air that got in the line when they did the job. They should have bled it out, but they were lazy.
