They said he was too short and did not perform well in the big game. But he's got a nice little trophey that says he was the best college player last year.
Remember, they said that Tom Brady, another Big 10 QB from Michigan, was nowhere near close to the pro material and went in the 6th round. I think he has 3 rings and two SB MVPs to go with that assessment.

Ignoring the simple minded answers you received from a majority of the responders, Scouts were simply hesitant due to his size. you'll see him listed at Ohio state at 6'1". Nfl scouts have had him listed at 5'11. Without stand out qualities like a Mike Vick he just wasn't worth a high pick. In fact quarterbacks in general had a rough draft, just look at Brady Quinn,from a potential #1 to #22 and the Browns moved up to 22 to get him or he may have fallen more, who knows.

There are a few reason why he went so late in the draft....1) Hes a short QB, hes stands 6'0 i think, the avg height for a QB in the NFL is about 6'3. 2) He choked in the National Championship Game, the NFL looks for that mental toughness and he just didnt have it.

hes a no good ohio state loser, who chokes in big games so he got drafted late. NFL is looking for people who can play QB, he is too small and not good enough to be real good

He is not a good qb, he was good in college but will be nothing more than a backup in the nfl.

He is a small, undersized QB with effiencency problems. He is not a consistent QB. He has an ok arm but not too much strength.
