I highly doubt this is true. I had a cousin that started her period at 7, and my daughter started at 9, but even then, though they were able to ovulate, and therefore get pregnant, there is no way that their body would be ready to go through the trauma, I am sure they would lose it. I have heard of 12 years olds, but I can;t see anyone you nger than 10 that really being able to concieve and carry a baby to term. There is no way a 5 year old could.

Yes it was a 5 year old little girl named Lina Medina from Peru. She gave birth on May 14, 1939.

Wow thanks for asking that question, really cool fact I learned from it. I checked the link someone put on there and to my surprise, they had documented that the youngest documented mother was
5 1/2 and had regular periods since age 3 due to a pituitary disorder that made her mature way sooner than normal children. Amazing.

I heard of a 9-year old who gave birth. I believe the mother was in Africa. For a 5-year old to give birth, she would have to have matured (gone through puberty) and I've never heard of pubety occurring before nine years of age.

I highly doubt that my estimate would be 8 since a girl an start as young as 8 with a period so that's my estimate

I read some where also that it was a 5 year it had happened many many years ago, that was so heart breaking you have to be so twisted to do that to a precious child!
