Unfortunately, banks will only pay you face value of any coin or currency you give them. They are not in the business of collectible money. But there may be plenty of coin dealers or collectors who would buy it from you. Try searching auctions on Ebay for an idea of what it may be worth to a collector. If it seems worth it contact a local coin dealer to see if they would buy it from you.
