Converting p into a decimal, this mean np/100 are the number of students who play at least one instrument.

So n - (np/100) is the number of students who don't play any instrument at all.

Or n(1 - p/100).

If you multiply the above by 100, you get 100n(100-p). Then if you divide by 100, you get n(100-p)/100, which is answer C.

If something is 40% smaller, you merely subtract 40%. So 40% of 40 energy is sixteen: you try this by skill of multiplying 40 by skill of 0.4. the respond could be 40 - sixteen = 24 A shorter way could merely be to multiply by skill of 40 by skill of 0.6, considering it relatively is a million-0.4.
