It's just a generic baseball player, not actually modeled after anyone. According to MLB.com: "No one player has ever been identified as the model of the 1969 Major League Baseball batter logo."

Iknow the NBA is modeled after Jerry West, but I think MLB has Ted Williams. Not sure though.

The popular assumptions are Killebrew or Rose (and one can understand why MLB would want to deny that, were it the case), but MLB maintains that it is a generic batter profile and not based upon any specific player.
