Your computer IS infected with malware. Do this:
Disable AIM.
Go to Symantec.com and run an online (free) virus scan on your computer. Let it remove anything it finds.
Download, update, and run the following:
Adaware from lavasoft.com
Spybot Search & Destroy from Spybot.com
Windows Defender from Microsoft.
If those don't clean up the issue, come on back.
BUT: before you come back, download and install the free version of ZoneAlarm firewall from zonealarm.com. Or any firewall you prefer, but you MUST have ONE firewall running or you'll have these problems within hours of going back online.
Get a decent antivirus software. AVAST and AVG are two decent free ones to choose from. UPDATE AND RUN IT OFTEN!
Continually update and run the three malwares I indicated above, too.
AIM is a malware infested pool of slime; NEVER respond to peopleyou don't know, and NEVER follow any of their links unless you know they're safe.
AT the rate youre' going, if you don't do these things soon your machine will become so infested it won't even boot and you'll be into having to reinstall the entire thing all over again.

Your PC is infected with adware. Use these scans to remove it, free.
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free.

I would go to www.Infected Or Not.com or http://www.nanoscan.com and run a quick Nano Scan or the more complete Total Scan. These are the new Panda Software megadetection tools and you can try them for free at the "Infected Or Not?" web site. They have the latest virus definitions and they scan your pc for active and latent malware.
It is all part of a new awareness campaign. They let you try their new stuff and they use the data to present statistics about the online level of infection to raise awareness on the problem.

you should try
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5#avg-anti-virus-free
this is the best free antivirus.
And if you get more # of pop ups u should have a popup blocker. Even yahoo toolbar do it.
But you should enable pop up blocker in your internet explorer by going to tools. Then i think it will work fine. If it is not then try
http://quero.at/. And enable pop up blocking in it. then you will be fine.

Your computer has a virus. Take it to your favorite computer store, it'll take a geek to remove the virus. Then the geek will recommend anti virus software.
