Are there any other type of animal that perform sex the way we humans do?

The Bonobo (sometimes wrongly refered to as the pygmie chimpanzee - they are a different speicies, and our closest living relative) which lives only in a small region of Congo, on the land south of the Congo river, is the only other animal to have sex face to face in the same way as humans.

In fact, Bonobos are horny chaps indeed, using sex with the other members of the group as a way of strengthening bonds. They also seem to be one of the few animals other than humans who have sex just for fun, and engage in group sex regularly.

All animals have sex for enjoyment, they wouldn't do it otherwise. They certainly don't know that the pleasure they get now will mean babies down the track. In many species, sexual activity is frequent and ongoing before and after conception. Why would they do that if they weren't enjoying it? Homosexual activity, both male and female, has been observed in over 400 species. That could only be for pleasure.

Humans have sex in a variety of positions, each of which is probably also used by one animal or another. Chimpanzees (both species) and many small whales including dolphins do it face to face as well as using other positions
