Ruth can you say with your expertise that you can mount the same legal defense that OJ had?
I can speak from personal experience every time I have had a lawyer the outcome was good. For example:
My wife got pulled over by the cops for speeding. Well the cop had gotten so close to her tail she sped up. So he pulled her over. I hired a lawyer for 200 buck and it disappeared. Do you think this is true for everyone? Clearly she was innocent some freak was tail gating her dangerously at that. If we didnt have a lawyer I dont think we would have won.

this is not an attack on public defenders. Its an attack on the legal system which perpetuates cleverness over truth, cases are won and lost based on how well an attorney controls evidence not on anyone vaguely or remotely interested in getting to an accurate reflection of what occured.

Can you prove this statement? Because I happen to have very different personal experience.

I have been practicing criminal defense for 5 years. In that time, I have done a large percentage of court appointed (public defender) work. I am mostly private, now. I can tell you that the high dollar attorneys are standing up with their clients and entering into plea agreements, same as the "free" ones.

I can also tell you that most public defenders are new, young attorneys trying to build a name for themselves. I worked as hard on my court appointed cases as I do on my private ones. Maybe harder. The bar is higher, because of the entitlement mentality.

Ever thought of this?????? It may be a little to simple..... But I'll try it anyway..... Ready????? Here goes.....

I DON'T COMMIT CRIMES SO I DON'T NEED A LAWYER !!!!!
So if you QUIT COMMITING CRIMES YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT.!!!

I have found it to be a very satisfactory way of not being injured two-tierd justice system......
But thats just me...

Are you some sort of Commie?

Just kidding.

If that were true, I would be a communist too.
