Walk. As soon as 2 weeks after delivery, start walking for exercise. It tones up your lower half, and stregthens all those muscles you are going to need to chase that kid around!
My husb and I took the baby with us in a stroller [ don't lean on it while walking, just push ] or snugli.
Don't do any abdominal exercises [ except isometric - tighten/release ] or weight lifting until the doc OKs you.

After you have fully healed, crunches work towards strengthening and rebuilding your stomach muscles. Take it easy though as it takes awhile to rebuild. They will never have the same strength as prior to the c-section though so try not to feel sdiscouraged by this.
