Is the reaction that turns NO into NO2 exothermic or does it require UV energy?

2NO + O2 ----> 2NO2 is completely spontaneous, and requires no special conditions at all. It is impossible to keep NO in the presence of oxygen. Since it has a negative entropy change, it must be exothermic.
