If you mean DVD-R or +R, not really, except double layer media, but that costs 4-8X as much.

Check out you DVD player/burner and see what it can play/record, if your player/burner can use double layer disks then you can get them and have more space to record on,it might be possible to upgrade your unit to use the double layer disks.
