how do I create vertical tear off tabs at the bottom of a document (as for phone numbers on an ad) in MS Word?

I'm creating an ad to post on a bulletin board and want to add phone numbers at the bottom for people to tear off but don't know how to change the text alignment from horizontal to vertical, and how to format for this purpose.

Don't know about other versions, but in Word 2003, you put the words you want in a table, one cell per strip, use the dashed lines as borders, then put in text per cell, then highlight, right-click and pick text direction, then pick the one you want.
