Maybe Im biased because im a Buffalo fan but even when the Rangers were up with 12 secs left I thought it was a great game

It was close right down to the wire, that's for darn sure. I was playing D&D during the game (yeah, I'm a geek that's not only a girl, but a girl that loves sports, but anyway) and even the guy running our game, who couldn't care less about sports of any kind, kept stopping midsentence to watch. The 3rd period nearly game me a heart attack, and then when Max scored in OT I jumped up and hugged one of my friends so hard that I knocked him over :-D All in all, a spectacular game, plus I had the added bonus of it being broadcast on MSG in my area so I heard it all from RJ like Sabres games are supposed to be!

Absolutely, no doubt about it. I'm sure the bandwagoners were expecting 12 goals and every time 2 players came together they were screaming for a fight. And the people who bought tickets, just because they could afford them, were probably yelling "shoot," through the whole powerplay. You don't have to have a lot of scoring to have great game. Both teams worked really had. Nothing was given away by either side. Both goalies did amazing things and made incredible saves. Except for the lower score, it reminded me of Buffalo vs. Ottawa, game 1 from last year. A last minute goal to tie and a quick OT goal to win.
Rangers and fans have nothing to be ashamed of. Cliche', I know, but it really could have gone either way. Game 6 will be an all out war.
9 wins to go. GO SABRES!

It was a great game.
I'm a huge Rangers fan. Not going to lie... I was flipping out after straka scored with 3 minutes left. I was watching it with a friend (who is a sabres fan) and she kept telling me to sit down, stop pacing, stop freaking out. As soon as that puck was heading down the ice for that icing call with 17 seconds left, I yelled "NOOOO!!".
It was devastating. Not going to lie. The Sabres controlled most of the play, but the rangers played great defensively, and Lundqvist is amazing. Love the man.
I think this series is going 7. I called sabres in 7 before the start, and i hope i'm wrong, but either way it was a good series. No one can say that the rangers were an easy beat or rolled over.

Ugh. I think the Sabres haven't been playing too well today and they'd better shape up soon! The ice has looked really bad all afternoon, too and the NBC announcers just made a comment to that effect. Both teams are having a hard time. I'm with you for one thing, though.....

I didn't see the whole game, but what I saw, it was a good game overall. Except for the officials but at least they were bad both ways this time.
I will say this. How STUPID do the fans that left early to avoid traffic when Buffalo was down 1-0 feel about missing the goal, then trying to get back into the building, find their seats, etc?
Game is not over until there is no time left. Cardinal rule of any game. Unless you're being KILLED (or you're doing the killing).

Yes you are biased.
Don't get me wrong. I liked the outcome. But seriously, I fell asleep! What a boring first and second period. No scoring for 55 minutes. Only the end of the third and OT were exciting. Far from best game in quite some time.

That game was awesome, how Drury came back with the goal, it was kind of like the Islanders game.

My neighbor was over watching the game, he's a boston fan and wanted to watch our boys go down. Even he couldnt believe how great it was. My sister and I were literally doubled over with our faces in our hands....then Chris scored. I practically choked on my gum and i just kept jumping up and down screaming- and to top that off- Max in OT..OMG-- our neighbor was shouting NO WAY! WOW! haha- now we gotta do it again tomorrow
