when playing guitar ive been wondering how to fret notes when using a capo....it confuses me

Ok say if you put the capo on the 1st fret any notes you play on the second will now be played on the third just think of it as the capo being where the neck ends

those pieces of wood that run vertical on the neck of the guitar separate the frets. if it says 2nd fret, count from the end (where you tune the guitar) and put the capo there. make sure it's snug against the fret divider.

umm how far along are you on your playing? you place the capo on the second fret, thats thesecond fret from the top of the neck. (second little box) put the capo across there.
