I don't quite understand, but I think you're asking if the moon is a star. It's not a star. The prominent astronomical theory says that it is very likely a piece of the Earth when it was still in formation. When the earth was forming, this theory suggests that it was struck and the piece that was broken off became the moon over many millennia.

Aha.. I see what you're asking. There are many stars because of how vast the universe is. Some of the stars, such as those in Andromeda are their own galaxies. Many prominent thinkers believe that many of the stars could harbor their own planetary systems, and as can be surmised, many of those planets will have their own moons. So, as the previous answerer stated, there are probably more moons than stars.

There are many stars because the universe is very very big, so big it is hard to imagine. Some stars are hundreds of times bigger than the sun, but they are very far away. There are galaxies containing millions of stars so far away that they cannot be seen with the naked eye. The earth has only one moon because that is just the way it is.Some other planets have many moons. Mars has two, while Venus and Mercury have none.

There are many stars because they are all many light years away, just very brilliant, so we can still see them from Earth. There is only one moon, because the Earth has only one natural sattelite, and that is the Moon. If we had more, our orbit and even our tilt and tides, would be drastically messed up. God arranged everything perfectly.

EARTH has but one moon. Other planets each can have several, as is true in THIS solar system. It is generally accepted that countless other stars can have planets and any such planets might indeed have moons.
