If I had to pick today I would take Santana. Halladay seems to fade at the ned of seasons for some reason.

Dan Haren with a 1.75 era so far and 3 wins. Once the A's offense gets going in his starts he's going to come up with about 16-17 with an era in the mid to high 2's. Santana has struggled. Halladay hasn't lost yet but to be healthy the whole season would give him it easily.

Its a little too early too tell but if voting started today, Beckett would win Cy Young. However, I dont think he will win it. I think it will be duel between Beckett, Halladay, and John Maine. i also think that Bartolo Colon will be a contender for the Cy Young. Bartolo has only made 3 starts this year due to recovery from a partially torn rotator cuff but he has won all three. he won the Cy Young in 05 and i think he could do it again this year.

I think Santana is going to good this year, but not as good as last year.
I think Halladay will definetely have the most strikeouts and wins, but I don't think he will win the Cy Young.
I think Dan Haren will win it, because of his ERA. He gives up almost 1.5 (or something like that) runs per game, and the only reason he is doesn't have a better record is because the A's lineup does not produce runs.

"It's really too early, but I think Santana can turn up the heat. He's been really hot the last years, so I think he can repeat"
And turn up the heat is exactly what Santana does. He never does good at the beginning of the season. He usually switches into Cy Young mode mid to late may, were almost theree...GET ReADY!

Josh Beckett is certainly in the running as of now. He could win 20 games and be a serious contender for the Cy Young this year.

I woulnt forget about Tim Hudson. He is off to a great start for the Braves 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA. Check back when the season is in full force.....
