Announced this week- Gilmore Girls is ending. It's last episode EVER will be in a couple weeks on May, 15. This sucks and I would like to know what your opinon on the matter is. I think it is over because of the new writer and the non-Luke and Loreali relationship. I would like to know what you think.

Unfortunately, given the writers and the mess that they've made of this season, I think it's probably for the best. ;(

I'm heartbroken as I've been watching and loving this show from the very beginning, but without the Pallidino's at the helm, the very essence of the show has changed. It went from being a hip, quirky, witty show about a mom, her daughter and all the people in their lives to being a show about...well, shoot, I don't know what it was all about this season. There were huge jumps in timelines, major plots that were shoved aside, an almost complete absence of the fabric (the town, the elder Gilmores, etc.) that made up the background of this show.

All in all, it's probably better that it ends now before the current writer's have the opportunity to do any more damage and further soil the memory of the fantastic show that was Gilmore Girls.

yeah, i've seen every single episode and i really wish it was still the old writers making the new episodes. this whole season has been pretty much a waste, but i'm not too upset that the show's ending. i think most things have been wrapped up, rory graduating, and lorelai will probably end up just being friends w/ luke or they'll put them together and end the show w/ us knowing that they did get back together.

you can always buy the seasons on DVD for between $20-$50 and watch your favorites or have a gilmore girl marathon! the old episodes are always a quick fix for boredem!

I agree. Ever since this new writer came in it has not been the same. The whole Luke and Lorelai not even talking almost the whole season was weird. That was a huge part of the show. Now they have them talking again and it is getting back to how it use to be. Of course they have to go and end it now when I was finally happy with the show again. :*(

yeah, it kinda really sucks that its going off the air. I think it had to do with the writers too. Now I got to find something else to watch on tuesdays with my daughter.

it was a nice show, and had a nice run, but the CW isn't exactly a viewer haven. they are just trying to get something that would better benefit them financially. maybe we'll get a better show. who knows?
