Like Vanilla... I think it's different. And to me, different is GOOD! My First name is Florence... so I know how it feels to have an odd name... (I go by my middle name though).

I do not think that it is weird-but it is unique.
Just think, 60 years ago your middle name could have been Bertha, Bulla, Mable or tullula.
Thank goodness it's not !!!
Venola sounds like a flower to me. What does it mean?

At first, when I see it, I think if Vendela, the Swedish-born supermodel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vendela_Kirsebom

Then when I pronounce it, I think of granola.

Nothing personal, but I'm not a fan of unusual names (although for what it's worth, I've heard way, WAY wackier names than yours). I know that parents bestow distinctive names to set their children apart from the crowd, but I think it better for the child to set themselves apart from the crowd of their own volition - with their talents, brains, their manner of dress, etc.

I hope your parents blessed you with a less distinctive first name.

Canola, the name they gave to rapeseed oil when they wanted to start selling it.

Also Victrola, Shinola & Coca-cola apparently it was the popular ending for made up product names in the late 19th century.

I like that name. It may be a bit unusual but it's unique. I think it's pretty cool.
