Why is when you live with someone or marry you lose interst in sex?

cause people don't know how to keep that magic feeling in their couple!... each one has to make an effort and make the one you love have that feeling to make sex with you! or its because sex is not that important but what is important is to be with the one you love, for some peolpe sex is not really important but only to appreciate being with the one you care for! but i think that if you dont have sex every night or every month then the day will come when both of you will have sex it will be like the fist time.

Because life goes on .. you need to work, you have hobbies, you have to eat and sleep ...bills to pay and then you get up and do more stuff. You have each other for support but you can get just plain physically tired. You are comfortable with the person you are with and don't have to perform like a trained seal to be with them all the time. Sex doesn't keep a relationship together its trust and aiming for common goals that keeps a relationship together, at least the forever type.

Sometimes I think it's the direction and information we get from our parents when we grow up. Sex is considered a 'no no' until you marry and so, we contemplate it all the time. Once we are mature and begin having relationships and sex is a part of that -it's not new anymore. But you have to keep it new.

It becomes perfunctory, routine and predictable. The exploration and discovery are gone. It's like anything else that you do regularly. If you eat (no pun intended) something all of the time, it almost gets to be contemptable. As people age there are physical reasons too. Women seem to deal with this better than men.

i havent, but she has. I guess stress and stuff edge out the hormones that rage when you first meet. There was some study done showing that physical lust could only last a couple months, some kind of chemical thing, when there is a lack of physical desire to go with the lack of mental desire due to stress, then as they say, the sex part of the relationship is over, go watch letterman.

You don't neccessarily lose interest in sex; you begin to get comfortable with your partner, and as you tackle the same routines in your life, you see them more as a friend, a comfort, than a lover. If you want more from your partner, I suggest you try something new for both of you. Leave little notes where they could find them such as leaving a note tucked into their wallet saying "I'm thinking of you", or "I adore you" and such, it will be considerate, and it can help you with your relationship. :] it won't hurt you by trying.

some people loose interest but both persons have to work at it. you gotta spice it up, do it in odd places, different places of the house things like that , but if people just ignore it then it just gets worse as time goes by. it could be to if there sleeping with someone else they loose interes in the one there with sometimes

I always thought it got better but I have a very high sexual drive . Every woman ive been with always complained i want sex to much . So the wheel goes round and round give it to them and they complain .Don't give it to them and they complain .
