I went on a trip to the United States about ten years ago and visited Mackinac Island. They sold these up there but I recall they were called by a different name. I think some do that have family back home in the UK. At one time they had Harrod's in Canada as well as Mark's and Spenser so they had a lot of our products available.

Yeah what we call a pie. A crawfish pie would be a pasty to you. Hold it in the hand type pie.

Hmmm, texans do: It's a pie or turnover, filled with seasoned meat or fish. Takes too much time though, so we just spread the cooked fish or meat on a tortilla. put it in a hot frying pan for a bit, drop some picante on it and roll it up.

A few do ... most don't. When I was in England, the ones I liked most were from shops in Cornwall. I remember them fondly.
