if i disconect my hard drive will i loose my log in pass word?

no you cant lose your log in password by dissconnecting your hard drive.

if you disconnected when the system is off.
if it was on, and the HDD is not a hot swap, then you MAY loose every thing in that.

it will not be lost unless you format the hdd or replace it

When you reconnect it, everything will be as it was before.
