EDIT: sshspartan, Montreal has won 24 Cups, not 26. Maybe you're mixed up with the Yankees who have 26 World Series titles, the most championships of any team in any sport.

Im a huge Sabres fan, but I'm scared of Ottawa. If Buffalo doesnt make it I will be cheering for the Sens, they are tough and quick and just a force to be wreckened with. As much as any of us LOVE our home teams, we need to be honest and sometimes they arent always the best!

There is only one true answer to this question and it is the Pittsburgh Penguins. The reason is that they have Crosby, Malkin, and Staal, they are the future of the NHL. Also all of their lines are dominate, they trust all of their players to get out there and get the job done.

Well the Sabres earned the President's Trophy for having the best regular season record, plus they had the most goals for in the league, so I'm going with them.

If you're talking about the best in NHL HISTORY, I believe that its the Montreal Canadiens, because they have won 26 STANLEY CUPS (most in NHL history) !!!!!!!!!

I think the NJ Devils are the best run team in hockey. They have been good since I was in high school. I graduated in 1992.
