Not Enough Fire/Air in My Birth Chart?

Question

I've got my sun in Sagittarius and moon in Libra.

Out of my whole chart, I have...
1 Fire Sign (Sadge)
2 Air Signs (Both Libras)
3 Water Signs (2 Scorps, 1 Cancer)
4 whopping Earth Signs (3 Caps, 1 Virgo)

I have an Aquarius Asc., & North node.

What does it mean to lack fire/air signs?

Well each element represents a part of us:

Fire: Spirit/Energy
Earth: Physical
Water: Emotional
Air: Mental

So...

Low fire will give you less energy than most people. You probably have a hard time getting things started. People probably see you as laidback, maybe even lazy.

Low air means that you don't think about things very much in a logical way. With more earth and water, you probably see things in physical and emotional ways and you'll have trouble detaching yourself from situations that require it.

I also have a low Fire/Air count and somewhat low Earth:

2 Fire Signs (2 Sagittarius)
1 Air Sign (1 Aquarius)
6 Water Signs (4 Scorpio, 2 Pisces)
1 Earth Sign (1 Capricorn

And Capricorn Asc., Aries North node

For me, I find that I have very low self-motivation. I can never seem to get anything started. I'm fine when I get going, but, reaching that point is very difficult. Also, I can't stand too much excitement and chaos. Loud people drive me insane. I think that's the low fire.

And I can never detach myself from a situation. I can't seem to look at things from a logical point of view. Even when I should. I also can't stand shallow things or too much social time.

Maybe you have some of the same problems. Just trying to relate. I hope I was able to help you somewhat.

You also need to consider the house placements. Any planets in houses 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 will also have fire (1,5,9) or air (3, 7, 11) qualities. Say, for example, some one had their sun in Taurus(earth). But it was in the third house. It will still pick up the air quality of Gemini. So do that first, see how many planets fall in those houses. And since Aquarius, your ascendant, is in an air sign, that carries twice the strength. And if Uranus, its ruler, is in an air sign, or one of the air houses, that will give you even more air quality. And if you're lacking (no such thing as not enough) some particular element, say earth for example, those types of people tend to get involved in things or with people that help balance or ground them. They may take up gardening as a hobby, or in the banking industry, just a couple examples. And then you need to look and see, how many planets do you have in cardinal signs or houses, how many fixed, how many mutable.

Ive been playing around haphazardly with an idea to make an elements kit (fire, air, water, earth) and to market these kits with personalized information. Since perception is reality, if someone has too much or too little of some natural element, like in your case, I will draw up a totally new and re-vised horoscope for them which balances out all the energies they think are out of balance due to their lop sided or top-heavy astrological placements of planetary forces. But so far I haven't actually made this happen yet. You can be my first, if you want. I'll email you a newly revised astrological chart with more fire and air signs. Remembering that PERCEPTION is reality, if you PERCEIVE that, according to the chart I can send you, you have plenty of fire and air energies in all the right places, your perception of yourself might be impacted positively. I have 4 earth planets,
earth rising & earth midheaven
3 water, 2 air, 1 fire

It makes us more emotional and more practical, but remember, planets aren't the only thing in your chart. Houses have signs on them and there are influences there even if there are no planets in them. And besides, your two most important planets are fire & air.

You sound like you are panicking over insufficient info. It is very "Sag" of you to run around half-informed and upset. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...

Well.......with little fire and air there's only a small amount of creativity. Water and fire mixture makes creativity. Air is intellect. You're probably very brilliant anyhow. I see you as a person who is likely to be in tune with the earth, nature, and animals. I'll bet you're an animal lover.

fire sign are all passionate, fiery, and energetic. They tend to be stubborn and hard headed which makes them one dimensional when they are passionate about something, in other words they will burn to possess that which they desire. They tend to be domineering and self centered, again, burning for that which they need.

Air signs of course are very ethereal, head in the cloud sorts. and well, tend to be full of hot air. They are very social and can talk for hours, blowing in the breeze like the social butterflies that they are. They are very quick thinkers and hate to be tied down. Just like their elemental representative, they have to be able to blow freely in the breeze.
