The Braves felt he was capable of doing the job, that is why Giles left town. Story on the kid is he can flat out hit and so far he has proven them right. Atlanta does a great job getting their own prospects ready and most of the time they bring up the best of them at the right time for each guy. They have an amazing record of producing their own home grown players, the team is full of guys they developed. It certainly appears they have done a good job yet again...yes I would say he is the real deal!

I don't thinks so, he is off to a hot start but im sure he will cool down. I added him to my fantasy team a couple of weeks ago, but he will be the first to go after I get a player of the DL, unless he keeps it up for another month or so. The only way I can see him cont. on this pace is if chipper stays hot and A Jones starts hitting like he can, then he might see good pitches every night.

Cant say for sure, but I think hes a good one. The Braves consistently seem to be able to come up with just the right player, either from their farm system or a shrewd trade. Here they are in first place-again. What an organization!

i would definately say hes the real deal. the first three in there rotation are the best in the league, johnson, renteria, and chipper. as long has chipper stays healthy and andruw heats up he will see even more pitches to hit and will only get better. they wouldnt have gotten rid of marcus giles if they didnt believe in this kid. i have him in a few of my leagues and hes always pulled through for me! GO BRAVES!
