I have met Bob Newhart. He was just the same in person as he is publicly. Very unassuming and a very nice man.
I have met Fabio. He was very sweet with a lovely sense of humour.
I have met Charlie Daniels. EXACTLY as he appears. Just a down to earth man with a good soul.
I knew the country band Alabama before they were famous [late 70's]. They were always great guys. We had some cool times in Myrtle Beach after closing time.
I met Peter Noone once [from Herman's Hermits for all you wee people who are too young to remember really fun music] and he is just wonderful. He is still like a big kid who simply and perfectly loves life.
I met Hank Williams, Jr once and hope to never do so again. He came across as an arrogant and obnoxious azz.
I bumped into Kirk Douglas once. He was nice enough, but it was in the middle of Mardi Gras in New Orleans so it wasn't private by any stretch.
I met B.B. King once for a few moments and he was quiet and polite. Had a WONDERFUL smile.
I met Tracy Byrd and his wife once. They were very nice people and grateful because I kept some 'adoring' fans away from them [long story].
Dang, that's a few, isn't it? Well, that's what happens when you travel the country.

A country group called Lonestar. I was working at a gas station/truck stop several years ago and their tour bus stopped to get diesel fuel. When the driver was fillin the tank some members of the band came into the store. This was when the song "Amazed" was still playing frequently on the radio. When they walked in I said to one of them, "hey aren't you the guys that sing that song "Amazed?" They said yeah. I didn't get to talk to them all that much because it was pretty busy but they did go out to the bus and bring me back an autographed picture of all of them addressed to me. They were nice guys, but then they seem like nice guys even when they perform.

I met Natalie Merchant (10,000 Maniacs) while I was working at a hotel. She stayed there for a week. She was very humble and gracious, and left all the workers there HUGE tips.
I met Kirk Cameron (Growing pains) at an airport two years ago. My dad came up to him too and said what a huge fan he was of his evangelistic work, and they had a short but pleasant conversation. He and his family rode in economy on the plane with me and they were likewise very humble and gracious.

Was a nurse to a lot of celebrities so I can't talk about them.
I did know personally George Burns (if you know who that was). He was nice on stage but could be a prickly off stage.
But I knew him when he was in his 90's. He was a close friend of the man I was dating at the time.
