There is a big problem with people not giving enough information about the vehicle in question, the problems specifics and recent past repairs or problems. I have made a suggestion to the Answers team asking for a form to be filled out with this info when the question is asked. If all who agree with this suggestion will go to the message board and vote on "Vehicle information form", maybe they will adapt the suggestion. Go to "Related Links" on the left. Click on "Whats going on it Answers" then "Message Board" and find and vote for "Vehicle information form".

I suppose in theory it would be helpful, but if I were a new member to YA and I had to fill out some form before I was able to ask a simple question, I would probably not bother.

Most people that ask open ended, or poorly informed questions are reminded by the answerers of the need for more information.

True, there are some things that tended to bother me in the beginning, but I figure if people want a good answer, they will ask a good question. I don't mind asking for more information from the asker if I have a solid opinion on a repair or concern.

Most of the time I choose which question to answer by the relative information provided. Or, I will let others give vague answers to vague questions.

I wish you luck in your endeavor. But I think it would be pointless to restrict people by the information provided by them.
