first you have to check your directx version, type dxdiag on run , you will see Directx version bottom of the page. If you not , you have to download new version of directx ;
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0A9B6820-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en
go there and download directx 9.0c
if your problem still same , you have to find your graphic card brand.
You can learn your graphic card with this program ;
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php download CPU-Z from there.
install it you will see your all hardware names here .
Then go google.com and search your drivers, search like that "MYGRAPHICCARD drivers"

I assume you are using a windows computer.
Go to Start Menu>Settings>Control Panel
In control panel ensure that you are in classic view.
Launch the System Control Panel
On the Hardware tab select device manager.
Click the plus next to display adapters, your graphics card should be in that list.

first you need to find out the name of your current graphics card,to do this right click anywhere on the desktop and click properties,then click the settings tab and there you will see the graphics card next to the make of your monitor
its more than likely one of two main makes of graphic card,nvidia or ati
nvidia drivers can be downloaded from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp,just follow the driver wizard to locate the correct driver
a.t.i drivers can be downloaded from http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html,again use the driver wizard to locate the driver
next you need to download the latest direct x runtime files,you can download these from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en
after installing and updating these drivers,you should then be able to run your games properly
if you need any further advice please let me know
good luck!

right click on your desktop
select properties
on display settings you will see the name of your graphic card
when you got the name search for a driver for it
another way to update your driver
go to control panel / system / device manager / display adapters
when you click on it
the name of your VGA ( graphic card ) will appear
also you can right click on it and select '" update Driver "
good luck.

its possible that your graphics card doesnt have enough memoy and graphics to support this game, it might be a low grade version, if your a high tech gamer i suggest you get a new more improved one, with 256mb + of ram for downloading a game and saving games, with quite abit of speed so it keeps up with you when you are playing
