My brother streams videos 24/7 on the weekends and slows down the internet tremendously! How do i make it so i get even bandwidth as he or block his internet or slow it down somehow from my computer. we have a router that routes to 4 computers. I am on wi-fi and he is hardwired in.

what is your router? if your router has QoS then that is all you need, just give more proirity to your own computer or less poriority to his computer. (if you want loook up something called "DD-WRT")

you can also try to block the ports that he is using. this way he cannot do what he is doing now.

the last solution would be to talk to him and tell him to set his speed himself or you are gonna do something about. you never know he may listen

you can close web ports from your router settings, should be the Internet Access Control tab in your settings, and add your brother pc ip here, and block ports like 80.

If you go onto his computer, you can change the settings of his bandwidth, that's what I did with my little sister.

Cut his cable... ;-) Or encrypt it and don't give him the password until he agrees to stop his annoying ways
