I don't think so. The 60 years happens to be simply a byproduct of the marketplace desire to have predictably safe food. And, the potential safety issues of adding various stabilizers were unknown. What was very well known was the lack of safety in spoiled and bug-infested food. Consumers want all kinds of food available all the time, and we don't want to have to worry that the flour in the pantry is no longer any good.

Would'nt think so.Scietifically it has been proved that if all the nations unleshed they're nuclear weapons in an act of war.The resulting nuclear,radiation fallout would kill every living being on Earth.Except the cockroach,which can survive at extremely high temperatures.Doubt if these insects carry tin openers.
