I had to fix the chain, but once that was completed, the door only open halfway and stopped. I need to adjust it to open the right amount.

The drive sprocket that runs the chain may be hanging up on a bad chain link.

Inspect the chain again for something jammed in it or improperly repaired.

I'm sure you know there is a little cog on the chain that flips the switch going up or down. Make sure they are both in the proper position other than that there is a knob up by the motor that fine tunes the stop and start to provide the right tension at the bottom for safety. Good luck and be careful.

There should be a little trip switch mounted on the chain drive track and a trip lever which moves with the chain along the track to this switch. Sounds like the trip switch (or the lever) needs to be adjusted so that they meet just as to door hits the floor - shutting off the motor and stopping the chain.

Try to find the book that came with it. It will explain how to adjust it. Sounds like you have it too tight and it stops itself.
