Is it because her obscene displays of wealth makes us feel humbled and belittled? She is a source of pain for a lot of us inferior human beings. I can see why some people are glad she is going to jail.

Because she is news. Its something exciting and we are glad because she hasn't really done anything. Sure she has "The Simple Life" but other than that shes just rich. And drinking and driving is a serious thing. SHE ONLY GOT 45 DAYS. That's like nothing and she'll probably get a luxury cell with T.V., a comfy bed, and pretty curtains on the window.

i feel like justice is being served. alot of these movie stars and rich people are above the law. they get away with, murder (literally sometimes)
they do whatever they want because they got the money to pay the fines and to pay for a top lawyer that can find a loophole, somewhere.
i am not glad that she is going to jail because i don't know her or care about her. i am glad that she is not getting away with breaking the law and going to do time. she could of killed someone driving drunk
i have two friends who were killed by a drunk driver. i know a woman who's daughter was killed by a drunk driver. i met a man who's son was killed while driving drunk.

It is because of her cluelessness of others, her self promoting vapidness, and the repeated silliness that can played out in the media over and over and over, etc.
She's had so many warnings and wake up calls, that she has repeatedly ignored as if she is too good, above it all, the rules don't apply to her, etc.
She's earned our scorn. She's earned our distain. ANd she's earned her jail time.
Apparently these are the only things she has ever earned on her own merits.
Everything else was handed to her by virtue of the lucky sperm club.

Well, calling others inferior is just stupid, because you are assuming that her having money somehow makes her superior. Her talents include being a whore...and...thats it. People are glad she is going to jail because she should not be above the law simply because she has money.

I would guess in part because she is a very blessed person with a very blessed bank account and I think it makes some of the American people feel good that she is being held accountable for her actions. People who have that kind of money generally get a slap on the wrist, pay a small fine and they are out doing it again. They need to be taught a lesson that money can't get you out of everything and your actions are to thought about a little bit more...

Most people just don't like they way she acts to society and how some people actually follow her morals and ways. She's a big infulence on some people and shes not the bestest role model in the world.

Because she thinks she is above the law. They are going to make an example out of her. I dont dislike her, but she should be punished just like every other ordinary joe!
