I burn my Cd's using my Windows Player. I'm running Windows Xp, Nero 7, Creative Sound Blaster Platinum hardware and software. All I get is track 1, track 2, track 3, etc.

Regular music CDs do not include any of the track/album/artist info in the track names. The only reason iTunes and WMP can spit that info out for you is that there are online databases that have all of that info stored and keyed to a unique identifier code for each album (though sometimes there are mistakes, like spelling errors or transposed track names). If you are burning a regular music CD-R, it will be put in that same format to make it compatible with any regular CD player (assuming it can handle the CD-R media format, that is). If you're just copying the MP3 files over to CD, then they will still list under whatever descriptive titles have been assigned to them.

are you making and audio cd or an mp3 cd? if its only an audio cd, data for the track names, etc, won't be written to the disc. Mp3, however, will allow you to name your tracks. That is one of the major differences in Audio cds and mp3 cd's. I wouldn't try to use WMP. I haven't had luck getting track info with WMP. Try a different program such as Roxio or Nero instead. Good Luck!!!

I'm sure the data is on the disk, but some CD players do not access that data..
