How sad for the Republicans. You have to now rely on conspiracy theories to explain why Bush is so unpopular.
Approve Disapprove Unsure
ALL adults 32% 61% 7%
Republicans 76% 19% 5%
Democrats 11% 85% 4%
Independents 24% 65% 11%
Wow- 19% of Republicans flip-flopped. Don't worry sunshine, it's okay to cry.

You are failing to take into account the elections that took place in 2006. The 109th congress was worthless and failed to fulfill their responsibilities to the U.S. Honestly I think the 2008 presidential election will be another close call.

Thank God our President doesn't govern by poles. The way the main stream media attacks Bush its a wonder his approval numbers are not minus 50%. The main stream biased media despises President Bush.

Libs have a long history of making up whatever data they need to try to influence elections (look at Dan Blather). I don't care why Bush was elected, for me it was more important we didn't have someone who hates out country, like Kerry, in charge.

During a time of crisis or war, the public will rarely change leadership. I know many a person who voted for Bush in 2004 simply because they hated the thought of a leadership change during the war in Iraq. Many of the people who voted for Bush in 2004 were not happy with him then, but they still voted for him. A case of the devil you know, I suppose. Since then, along with those who were already unhappy with him, many more have joined those ranks. War weariness is a very strong force. And this country has become decidedly war weary.

You said it well!! They even said in the last election if President Bush wins that the country would pay for it with nonstop disenchanted liberal democrats!! Oh they were so right! I don't believe for a minute the Bush supporters flip-flopped, so I'm sure it's the latter.

Flip flop. Why is it so difficult for people to believe that people can change their minds? Maybe because they didn't know him before and have found out more since then they change their opinion of him. Don't assume it is non-voters.
I know someone who was an avid Bush supporter. She could not be convinced he could ever do or say anything wrong. To her he was next to God in her mind. Then she had an epiphany one day and realized that she had been duped, lied to and is now sorry she voted for him. She is not as opposed to him as I am but nearly so. I don't think she is unusual.

Hun, I know personally many disenchanted Republicans with the Neocon Bush,
who admit they voted for him, but have come to hate him.
and Since most of the population doesn't even vote,
your point is irrelevent.
You have 24-25% Repub and 24-25% Democrat, who ever wins by that slight percentage point get's the prize.
And since our elections are phony and set up to allow only the fascist two party duopoly corporate government,
again, your point is irrelevent.--
Because that's why the people don't vote!

Judging by the fact he beat Kerry by the largest margin in history, over 3,000,000 votes. And that was with all the deceased Dems. voting in Illinois!!!
I think you have my answer.....
Registered Democrats greatly out number Registered Republicans in this Country. So it would appear that even a large percentage of them couldn't hold their nose tight enough to vote for Kerry, or that they are happier to scream and complain from the cheap seats, and choose not to participate and actually work for positive change.
I am not sure if they would ever be "Happy" if they weren't "Miserable".
