Paris the beautiful chic. Well, jail? She most probably wont be in. But she must learn and understand and be remorseful about her mistake. What is most important is not the form of punishment. It's the effectiveness, she is smart and too young and thus arrogant. So hopefully, a visual tour for 3 months for her to witness accident victims pictures or even live example and the aftermaths, the family of the victims will be better punishment for irresponsible acts that never know what is the seriousness of drink driving. Then she will grow up a little and be a better person.

Yes, I think Paris should go to jail to think about what they've done. Well, not just Paris, but all of France. They need to realize that they are part of this world too and by wimping out when they are needed for unity against terrorists, hurts everyone. Maybe we could build a wall around it for a specified period of time (at their expense, of course...but don't let the French do the work because they will do an inferior job to allow escapees to run,.

To break a law is to be a criminal. She is, by definition, a criminal. Admittedly, not a gunman or thief, but a criminal nonetheless. She was told not to drive. She drove. End of story (many, many stories, right?). If she had whacked someone while driving would there be grounds for leniency? If she ran over your parents/gf/sister and mashed them into dust would it be OK? No, a little time won't hurt your precious little Paris. After a month in the slammer she'll trip off to Aruba and shake the jailhouse from her shoes.

Why should anyone protest for her , she's a spoiled little rich brat who thinks money can make her do anything she wants , even break the law!
So she deserves to go to jail, it will teach her a lesson that she is a normal citizen like anyone else, the courts aren't overdoing it at all, they are just being fair by treating like others!

Paris has repeatedly broken the law
obviously, she feels oblivious
but in reality
and back down to earth
she isnt worth anymore than any other human
or person living under the law and protection of her country
so she deserves to do the time of her crimes
which i have to say, wasn't long enough
it won't deter her partying
which it needs to
i mean how old is she??
still acting like she's 21

We should not olny allow it, we should demand it. She has been given way too many second chances. She thinks she is above the law, because of her status in society.
She is not special in the eyes of the law, since she has abused the freedom she has been granted, then let her do the time. I'm sure she will get some club Fed, but still it is taking away her freedom and it will put some respect for the law.
After she does her time, then the public will welcome her back with open arms, but it will be a lesson learned.

Yes we should!! We have time and time again sent a message to celebrities that they are above the law. They need to know that they are not above the law. She had her chence to stay out of jail. She apparently didnt believe them the first time. She broke a 3 year probation, so 45-days is not anywhere near as bad as it could have been.

If you want her to live, let her experience the consequences of her actions.
This is one of the greatest dangers to celebrities: they are too often kept from getting the help they need.
I don't know Paris Hilton, but it is obvious she has a serious and life-threatening problem which she is unwilling to face. Jail time may save her life.

Drunk drivers kill people. They should go to jail and rot....especially a spoiled brat like that. At least until she's sober....over do it my a**.
She *is* a criminal, breaking the law and then being punished to the letter of the law is not unreasonable.

You go ahead and stage your huge protest. What will you say?
"Don't send people who have never contributed anything but are somehow famous anyway to jail!"
Yeah, you go ahead, don't allow Paris to go to jail.
