Can someone explain to me what lies Bush told to us? Didn't he get his Intel. from Tenet, a Clinton holdover?
And can anyone explain to me that Sadam had no WMD'd when we all saw him on TV (Courtesy of CNN) use Chemical weapons on his own people? And the Iranians years before that?
And I have to ask, shouldn't we be questioning our Democrat Leaders how they voted for it, before they voted against it, without doing any research or fact checking?
When Al Gore made his famous "He played on our Fears" comment, to what document was he refering to as his basis for this???
This is not political, I am curious.....

Gringo, Go back to slep, it's gonna be OK...
Christie, I went to the link you provided, thank you. I have to admit kind of far out stuff. You sure you want to use these sources as a point of fact? Is this the type of reseasch that you rely on? I admire the fact that you did research and quoted a source. That is rare for for those who do not support Bush. Please read some of the text outloud at the link you provided. Then tell us if it dosn't sound a bit silly to you.

Tokolosh, Do chemical weapons count as WMD's? Do the chemical weapons he used to kill his own on TV count as WMD's.
So if the Democrats know all the lies he told, can you tell me why they voted with him, DURING THE CONFLICT?
Does "I'm am dumb and didn't bother to check info. for myself and the America people" work as an Excuse for Democrat Leaders who continued to vote WITH Busk long after 2003? Or was that just to cash in on being Patriotic, and when it got unpopular they changed their stance?

To be brief.... the intelligence prior to the war came from the CIA, UK, Russia... and even France! They all said Iraq had WMD's.
Bush, the Congress, even Democrats, read the reports and all voted to go forward with the war.
Bush has made mistakes, but he has done the best he could with a crappy situation.

A. Bush doesnt work for the CIA or any of the other surveilance agencies of other countries that all said the same thing: SADDAM HAS WMD's.
B. The UN prior to 2003 itself voted unanimously that Saddam was hiding something about his WMD program because he wasnt allowing UN weapons inspectors to fully do their jobs not to mention the 17 security council resolutions he violated since 1991. If he had nothing to hide and was such a great guy, why all the deception and defiance?
C. We have satelitte evidence of heavy traffic in and out of facilities on nights prior to a UN weapons inspectors visit. What do libs think were loaded on all those trucks? Fresh flowers?
D. Not only were the American people wanting the war, so were democrats like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry who stood on the floor of the senate and made a case for WMD's in Iraq based on what the intel and their own advisors said, not anything Bush said.
E. We did find 600 canisters of sarin gas in April 06, so assertions that we found nothing are false.
Fighting tyranny is always a just cause whether its communists, imperialists, or islamicists. And people like Al Gore and John Kerry only make our country weaker when they mindlessly hate our leaders and cant examine the evidence properly.

George Tenet, as CIA Director under both Clinton and Bush, was a major source of information on Saddam and his supposed arsenal of WMD's. Both the Clinton administration and the Bush administration went along with Tenet's intelligence data on Saddam, which was further bolstered by similar intelligence from European intelligence agencies. Democrats, starting with Bill Clinton in 1998, and up to the Iraq invasion by the US in March 2003 insisited that Saddam and his WMD stockpile be removed. Some democrats even insisted that Saddam was seeking nukes.

Russia was the major supplier of WMD's to Saddam When the US attacked the Taliban in Afghanistan, both Russia and Saddam knew that an Iraq invasion was probable. The Russian used the year and a half that we were preoccupied with Afghanistan to remove all traces of WMD's to Syria.

I'm glad you pointed this out cause I'm so sick and tired of hearing Bush lied and we're in it for oil. The people saying this don't have enough interest in the war to really analyize whats going on by studying facts, they just repeat what they hear! Why am I going to take these people serious?! I like a poster yesterday believe that Saddam moved the WMD's to Syria. You made good points!

Americans lie to theirself,by not really weighing out the facts, such as the Mexico flag being flown over the American Flag, upside down at Montebello,Ca. school by immagrants in America, but our media won't show this, such as Bill and Hillary Clintons involment with money laundering, drug smugling, and murder everyone turns there back on facts I never knew why all this was swept under, because no matter who you are your not supposed to be above the law and there is no statute of limitations on these crimes why doesn't our media jump on this

Democrats don't care about facts. They just hate Republicans so much they are willing to embolden America's enemies and lie to their children by rewriting history. The only thing consistent about them is that they repeated what they did with the Vietnam war. If is hadn't been for Liberal propaganda we would have won.

When you send Colin Powell or Dick Cheney to make vague references to WMD's and Iraq knowing full well that your information is not solid (because you are chomping at the bit to invade), then you are being deceptive (lying). If you're going to invade another country, you better do LOTS of fact checking and research. Wasn't Bush quoted as saying, "That's all you have?" to Tenet? The evidence was scant and he went any way. That's extremely dumb on top of being dishonest and it cost many lives. I don't think its that hard to understand he wanted to invade whether or not the evidence was there. If you want to invade another country, then be honest and tell the American public you don't have a whiff of evidence and you just want to invade another country because you think nation-building is a good idea.

Wherever the intel came from is not the problem. Everybody was fooled.
What happened after the mistakes (lies?) were made public is what disgusts most people.
The 'war' was won when Saddam was deposed and no WMDs were found.
Mismanagement and chaos ensued.

It's all in the past now. Why not dwell on what's going on from now into the future. There is nothing we can do to change the past. We need to make the future better. We need to stop name calling and making so much out of things we can't change. Everybody makes wrong decisions and mistakes. We need to learn from them and go on.
