They still chime in about a 162 game season, and "we'll see who's in first at the end of the year". Blah, blah, blah. Their pitching could go down as the worst in history. $25,000,000 to talk to Kei Igawa? Are you serious? Worst pitcher in the league. Damon hits nothing and is always hurt, Abreu can't buy a hit, Rivera just isn't Rivera. It's time to face the facts...they stink.

Gee, I guess I was wrong. They still brag about a team that's stuck in the cellar. Of course, no real justifiable arguments. Same old, same old. Why can't they just admit that this team is going nowhere fast?

Oh, and about the "injuries". When the Sox had 4/5 starters on the DL last September, that was fine during that infamous 5 game sweep at Fenway. Now that the Sox have won 5/6 against the depleted Yankees, it's all about the injuries.

I still say they stink, and until they get somewhat respectable, that's the way it's gonna stay. Biggest laughing stock in baseball!!! HAHAHHAAA!!!!

How are they old? They have 17 players that are 33 I dont know if you can call that "old" yet. Old is About 37-40, thats old but for a major league team veterans come through all the time in my mind its better to have seasoned players(my favorite is in the 31 year old range) though. They have 3 31 year olds. If your talking about 80+ they have 5 players there too, including (injury prone, but good) Chien-Ming Wang. Not very old but more seasoned. As for Abreu hes in a slump but is a .300 hitter dont worry, Rivera is getting old, simple he cant be there forever, A Rod leads the leauge in major offensive categories, Kei Igawa is a loser anyways so why do they even bother with him anyway though lol!

Oh gee...Isn't this lovely? Another half conscious Red Sox fan with no life who comes to Answers and rants about how bad the BEST team in the league is. Hey, guess what? ITS ONLY THE SECOND MONTH!
Get over yourself.
Yankees rule, and you know it. They will dominate the ridiculous Red Sox all the way through. FACE THE FACTS.
Hmmm...Maybe the Yankees ain't doing so well because so many of our players are on the DL...Of course, any Sox fan out there would have never known that, considering their the most pompous, self-centered fan nation in baseball and their too lazy to get up off the couch and truly learn about baseball.
Yankees Love.<3 Yankees fans always have something to say. And it's always something bad about the Red Sux.

Is it May 5th, or October 5th. have I been hibernating. Sox r getting lucky. Dice - K hasn't been the greatest investment either. Igawa shut ur Red Sux down last week.

By the way, if u want 2 get technical, the Yankees r tied 4 second. Toronto, Baltimore, Tampa, and the Yanks r all 6.5 games back.

Hey Fenway,

You don't address the Yankees pitching problems - injuries, popping hamstrings like popping popcorn. Strange set of affairs there, isn't it? I agree, the others ain't hitting too well, things are not at all balanced. We'll see in the long run, which is ALWAYS the case. I have a lot of friends that are Sox fans, they are ecstatic. I am a FAN though, so I'll stick with them.

They don't stink. They will turn it around and start winning like crazy. The Yankees have bad aprils all the time only to get hot as the season progresses. Gayson Fagitek and Money Ramirez are hitting like .230. Dicegay Machocaca will be the biggest flop in MLB history by the way. The Dread Sux are the ones who stink. Winning every 86 years. Good luck in 2090! LOL

I have plenty to say Phil Hughes no hit for 7 innings. As I write Wang is pitching a perfect game . Oh and how is the second coming of Pedro LOL Dice-k has been lit up by seattle twice one of the weakest offenses in MLB. Yep Crow while you can the yanks are getting healthy and our farm system is light yrs ahead of of the Bosox.

They will always have something to say. In the last couple of years I've even heard that their minor league system has improved with more prospects. This is an exaggeration perpetuated by wishful thinking. Even ESPN has forwarded this myth.
The lesson to be learned here is no matter how much on the field talent you assemble, without pitching it doesn't work.

It totally rocks, and to all the yankees fans who justify this with the players on the dl: hello?? you spend SO much money on players (not like we don't) but all of yours get hurt. buy yourself a healthy team, jeez.
the batting actually isn't horrible right now, but every one knows that the key is pitching, which you are seriously lacking.

Yankee fans alsays have something to say, even now, however it generally isn't worth listening to, and rarely has anything to do with the game of baseball. They are kind of like Boston fans that way. It is more about bragging and putting down than it is about appreciation.

Yup, they stink alright. Next year it gets even worse with Arod leaving and 80% of their good players getting old. Posada, Damon, Giambi, Jeter, Rivera, Mussina, Pettitte, Matsui not getting any younger.
