Hop into your jump. people are forgetting that. You have to do a slight hop so when your going down, the natural motion of going up is already happening since your legs will be like springs. make sure your shoulders are squared with the basket. jump straight up, no fadeaways or nothing like that, Finally, release at the highest point of your jump. It takes practice so don't get frustrated. Once you got it down adjust your form to have a higher arch and your shots should be very difficult to block.

Build up your legs and arms. Don't try to shoot from beyond your range because in the long run it will screw up your form. Subconsciously, you will overcompensate for your lack of strength by "forcing" your shot, either by "throwing it" towards the basket (improper followthrough), or jumping out instead of up (bad balance). Working out will improve your strength so the main thing to work on now is maintaining the correct form and don't get into any bad habits.

Try and focus your release more at the top of your jump and use your legs more when you jump, higher release point equals longer range...also try having a higher arc onyour shot. As a bonus it will make the shot very difficult to block.

Try to bend your knees and push off a little bit more when you're shooting a long range shot. Also, strenghthen up your wrists a little bit by laying down and just pushing the ball in the air over and over again.

I agree with everyone else but I want to add one more thing. You should get power from your legs jump higher but it should aslo be a straight up and down jump. Not this I jumped here and I land somewhere else.

start out by shooting close the rim then gradually move out further when you comfortable in your previous spot. That is the best way to increase range its sort of a natural progression so don't expect it to happen over night

do a lot of squats and lift weights. Its easy to say to use your legs, but its really hard to do. If you are stronger physically then long range shots would be easier.
