Hi all, I hope someone can help me. I tried to install warcraft 3 frozen throne, and everything was fine, but after installation, i tried to open my frozen throne game, it takes a long time for me to load it, otherwise, black screen appears and doesnt allow me to minimise or do anything to it, so I restarted my comp and i was able to start until Windows XP loading, the whole screen went black, safe mode is fine, therefore i did system restore, and then installed a Yahoo game grandmother tycoon, and when i tried to play the game, on full screen, it went black again. Now my windows xp works after system restore, but it takes a long time to load..if not it will be at black screen for a long time..I hope someone can help me on this and let me know if its my graphics card problem? Im using on board graphics card. Thanks in advance

I am using the latest driver. Secondly, my comp does supports all these games because before reformatting I do not have any problems with playing all these. Thirdly, I was able to play all these games after i reformatted, its just that I reinstalled warcraft 3 today and it just went black..

i tried to go to the drivers website to download the graphics latest driver. What happen was after I installed the driver(Im sure it is the right driver software) the whole thing went black again, but I was able to go on safe mode, so i did a system restore and get back to normal. I have alot of space as I just reformatted, so i do not think thats the problem. I tried on 17" LCD works totally fine, graphics, gaming all these works out well, except when i used 19", I never experienced this before. I wonder why

it has something to do with your graphic card drivers, download the drivers off the manufactures website and reinstall it!

your on board graphic card, what size is the memory on it?
you may need to increase it in the bios!

EDIT -
Wish I read your 'Additional Details' before I started writing this...
:)
If everything worked before, then just download & install the latest video & sound drivers. Also, download & install the latest DirectX runtime files from Microsoft's web site.

--------------
Download the latest video drivers from your motherboard manufacturer and DirectX runtime files from Microsoft's web site.
You should check the memory requirements of your games too.

If that didn't help, then you'll probably have to buy an AGP bus or PCIe bus video card. You should check your motherboard's web site to see which video bus type your motherboard uses.

Most modern 3D games require certain 3D features to be in hardware (not software emulated). Since you are using a built-in video card, it probably doesn't have the necessary hardware 3D features in order to run the game. 3D games typically require the 'hardware lighting & transformation' features in a video card because emulating them through software would make the game run too slow. Some recent games require even more hardware 3D features.

I think you need some kind of driver in order to use these games. Games and downloads are quite detrimental. Try going to www.support.Microsoft.com for help. Good luck.

When you reformatted, did you go and get the latest drivers for your laptop?
