what about it? are you asking if it really did happen? the movie is very very very loosely based on real murders that happned but it was NOT AT ALL the same. basically they took the fact that murders happened in texas and ran with it.

The real one wasn't in Texas and had nothing to do with a chainsaw. The only similarities is the use of the skin of the victims, but then again that could be any movie.

That movie is based off Ed Gein. The story never actually happened, but a few horror movies are based off his life. Check out the site below, really freaky.
