Kiss Kiss Kiss

It's supposed to mean "kisses". X = kiss, O = hug. Sometimes you'll see XOXOXO which means "hugs and kisses".

Don't ask me how it got started, because I don't know. It's just some old tradition carried down from the days of handwritten letters.

Kisses= X=representing a "stylized picture of two mouths touching each other."

Hugs= O=the O represents two arms held in a circle around another person.

An X is supposed to simulate a kiss, as I've heard, the correct context is:

XOXOXO, as in multiple kisses (mouth open, mouth closed, mouth open, mouth closed etc).

I hope this helps.

Pat.

it usually means "hugs" or "kisses." a lot of girls will sign their name xoxoxo because that means both hugs and kisses. for example:

last night was great!

love,

jen xoxoxo
