I am from New York, I am interested in moving to Arlington within the next few months. I search the weather and see that "humidty is 83%" is this a dry heat or is it blistering?

It's very moist here. Imagine walking outside when the temp is around 95. And imagine there is someone above you wringing a wet sponge over you. That's humidity. It's quite the opposite of a dry heat like you experience in Nevada. It's hot and very moist. You'll want to make certain your AC works in your car.

humidity doesn't really tell you what the temperature is. 83% would be pretty humid, like being in a sauna. it's hot there as well. you seem to be confused about heat and humidity. Arizona and Nevada have dry heat, with little or no humidity. closer to the water, it gets hot AND humid. along the Gulf coast, it's very hot and humid in all the states. heat is temperature and humidity is how much moisture is in the air.

High humidity cannot be a dry heat. Heat is heat weather it's high or low humitity. Amarillo can be 100deg. with a 10% humidity or San Antonio at 100deg with an 80% humidity. Both are blistering.
