Well, I have read lots of really sh** poems on Yahoo Answers, and I have to say I expected this to be another one..... but its really very good. I liked it all .... except I would change "Ill put my arms around your neck" to "Ill put my arms around you"......and the chorus....ill be there to stay, come what may if you need a shoulder to cry on take mine.......... but then you say 'before the chance is gone'.......Id cut that and repeat 'Ill be there to stay'. All in all its an excellent song, well done.

Sounds like a compilation of allot of country songs. Mixed with a few Beatles songs.
I think that I would try some unique phrases. Most song writers today are searching quotes that are somewhat poetic and morphing them to fit their own use. Some do it very well. I would suggest Fuller. Not too many people using those, and they are very thought provoking.
